BRISTOL BEACON RESIDENCY
Journeys of Sound is a residency project of improvised music in the Beacon Hall foyer, hosted by vocalist and songwriter Priscilla Andersohn. The improvised performances are based on a changing theme. Each event pulls together unique talent of musicians and performers to deliver inspired interpretations of the theme through their particular discipline.
This series of events are designed to bring people together in a safe, creative space of exploration with the audience being integral to the story the musicians then tell through musical explorations.
Sit back, share a drink with friends and enjoy a night of organic music and sound as prolific collaborator Priscilla and her band improvise around a theme, riffing and reinventing as they go, weaving stories into music live on stage.
Expect diverse influences of jazz, soul and trip hop alongside hints of the sounds of Priscilla’s homeland, as our stalls bar is turned into a cosy, warm and inviting space to relax and enjoy a night of free music, carried by the powerful sound of Priscilla’s soulful voice.
